John F. Kennedy may not have ended slavery or start desegregation, but he did have a legacy that will remain forever in our country. He had a popularity like no president or leader before. His young, handsome appearance with amazing intelligence made him a simple choice for president. Kennedy had many successes during his short period. Yet the thing that will always stick with us, the horrifying assassination of him. "The assassination also marked major cultural and technological shifts in the United States" (Spencer 6) On November 22, 1963 Kennedy was brutally shot in the head and died from traumatic head wounds. (Spencer 12) The shooter Lee Harvey Oswald took away a great leader and in the end got shot himself from a nightclub owner. ("Lee Harvey Oswald" 2) This period of time will always be an important part of our history.

internal citations: 9.5/10 See other pages for where to put the period. Please also remember that you don't need the page number for an online source. That was my mistake (no points off because it was my fault). But the source above should look like this: ...from a nightclub owner ("Lee Harvey Oswald"). No number because it's an electronic source, not a book, and the period goes after the citation.
